How to Request Correction
Applications for an administrative zoning correction shall be submitted to the Research/GIS Division of the Office of Planning and Zoning (OPZ) at 2664 Riva Rd. 4th Floor, Annapolis, MD 21401 and must contain the following information.
- Four copies of the Request Form fully completed and signed by the applicant. The request form must include the name and address of all property owners impacted by the proposed administrative zoning correction. The Request Form must include a complete and thorough explanation/justification for the request.
- Confirmation of Pre-file Meeting with the Zoning Division.
- One digital copy and two paper copies of the plat or site plan sealed by registered surveyor or engineer indicating the existing and proposed location of the zoning district line(s). The digital plan should meet the specifications outlined in Attachment A. If a digital copy cannot be provided, a fee of $250 will be charged for digital conversion of the paper plan.
The Research/GIS Division will process the application for review and assign a unique Request Number (ZMCyyyy-0000). A letter will be sent to each affected property owner (as indicated on the Request Form) notifying them of the requested zoning correction and informing them of the 30 day appeal period. Final review and decision will be made by the Planning and Zoning Officer after the appeal period ends. The Planning and Zoning Officer will notify all affected parties of the final decision.
