Annual Maintenance Closure

The North Arundel Aquatic Center will be closed for facility maintenance from May 25, 2024 to June 9, 2024. The entire facility, including pools and programs, will be shut down during this duration.

Service Disruption

Basketball Courts at Lake Shore Athletic Complex

The basketball courts located at the Lake Shore Athletic Complex will be closed on or about March 15, 2024, for repairs. Please be advised that the basketball courts will be closed for 3-4 months.


Bell Branch Park - Playground Closure

The playground at Bell Branch  Park will be receiving a new rubber surface and will be closed for about 3-4 days starting on Monday, July 15, 2024.


Brooklyn Heights Park Temporary Closure

Starting March 11, 2024, Brooklyn Height Park will be closed to the public through the Spring of 2025 for park improvement projects. For more information on the park improvements, please visit Brooklyn Heights Park project updates.

  • Mon, May 27 - NO Curbside Collection  –  WMS Facilities Closed
  • Tues, May 28 - Curbside Collection Provided to Monday Customers & Facilities Open
  • Wed, May 29 - Curbside Collection Provided to Tuesday Customers & Facilities Open
Service Disruption

Fort Smallwood Park Construction

Starting September 5, 2023, the eastern half of Fort Smallwood Park will be closed to the public for park improvement projects. The swimming beaches and fishing platforms along the rock armament will be closed to the public through the Summer of 2024. The park's boat ramp area, fishing pier, playground, and pavilion will remain open. Parking will be limited and expect entrance delays into the park on weekends. For more information on the park closure, please call 410-222-0088. Please note: Fort Smallwood Park will get a new playground after Labor Day.


Generals Highway - Playground Closure

The playground at Generals Highway will be receiving a new rubber surface and will be closed for about 3-4 days starting on Monday, July 29, 2024.

Mayo Beach Shoreline Restoration

Mayo Beach Park Cartop Launch is temporarily closed to public access.  Visit the Cartop Boat Launch page for other water access points.


Quiet Waters Park - Herbicide Notice

Please be advised that between Friday, May 31, 2024, Quiet Waters Park will spray herbicide to treat invasive species. The products that will be used during this application can be found here.
