Trail System - Safety, Ethics, Rules and Regulations

Enjoy the Anne Arundel County Trails system by ensuring that you have a safe visit.  Follow the park rules and practice good trail etiquette every time you visit.

Park Rangers regularly patrol the trail system to enforce regulations and provide visitor services to park users. Park rules protect the park and ensure the safety and comfort of all visitors. All park regulations are enforceable by Anne Arundel County Police.

While helmets do not prevent accidents they are proven to be effective in reducing serious head injuries and fatalities. Because even a skillful rider can crash or be hit by others it’s important to wear a helmet every time you ride. Helmets are required equipment for bicyclist age 16 and under in Maryland.
