Summer Child Care

The theme for our 2026 Summer Child Care Programs is "Worlds of Wonder."

Notice: Summer Child Care registration opens on Monday, February 9, 2026 at 8:00 a.m.

OVERVIEW
This summer, we are excited to provide arts and crafts, games, activity stations, outdoor play, STEM, and Literacy activities. The School Age Child Care (SACC) programs will also include two sessions with a field trip, and four sessions with fun on-site visiting enrichments!

All Summer Child Care programs will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2026 in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

ELIGIBILITY
Only children entering 1st-6th grades for the 2026-2027 School Year are eligible to attend the SACC locations. Only children 3-5 years old are eligible to attend the Pre-K location.

Children must be toilet trained. Your child must be able to be self-directed and self-sufficient in the restroom and able to care for their own hygiene needs.

To ensure appropriate accommodation, if your child has a medical condition, disability or special needs plan, please note the information on your registration form. Contact our Child Care Administrative Office with questions or requests for accommodations: 410-222-7856, ext. 0 or via email at sacc@aacounty.org.

SNACKS & LUNCHES/WATER BOTTLES
Snacks: In our Summer SACC programs, there is not an AM snack offered by our staff; therefore, your family is welcome to drop your child off with a snack or breakfast from home. A PM snack will be provided by center staff. Children that do not like the offered snack are welcome to bring a snack from home.

In our Summer Pre-K program, the opposite is true due to our hours at this location. Staff will offer an AM snack only. Children that do not like the offered snack are welcome to bring a snack from home.

Lunches & Water Bottles: Families are asked to provide a lunch from home for all Summer Child Care programs that does not need to be refrigerated or microwaved, and a water bottle labeled with your child’s name.

At select locations that meet the necessary criteria, Anne Arundel County Public Schools will provide breakfast and lunch through our partnership with Food & Nutrition Services Division. If your site is selected, this information will be provided prior to the first day of Summer SACC.

There is a minimum & maximum registration for each center, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Only children entering 1st-6th grades for the 2026-2027 School Year are eligible to attend the SACC locations. Only children 3-5 years old are eligible to attend the Pre-K location. Every child MUST have the State mandated forms completed and on file prior to their attendance in these child care-licensed programs (Health Inventory requires a doctor’s signature).

Current families that are registered in our 2026-2027 School Year licensed child care programs will have a pre-registration opportunity during the month of February. Any remaining Summer Registration spaces will officially open online to the general public on February 9, 2026 starting at 8:00am.
