The Bureau of Waste Management Services provides recycling containers and compost bins for residents to utilize.

Please note that you do not need a yellow recycling container to recycle in Anne Arundel County; you can use any container that works best for you, just be sure to mark it with "X" and please make sure the loaded container does not weigh more than 40 pounds.

How to Obtain?

Anne Arundel County provides 65 gallon recycling carts to its residential curbside customers.  Distribution is limited to one per household.  Cart deliveries and repairs (broken lid or wheels) can be requested online or by phone.

County residents can also obtain a free 32 gallon or 18 gallon recycling container (limited availability for both) by calling 410-222-6100.  These containers have been reclaimed, and although they are not "new" they are in good condition.  Note:  Residents seeking a yellow recycling container must submit proof of Anne Arundel County residency.

If you have an old 18 gallon bin or 32 gallon container that you would like to trade-in, you may return it to any Recycling Center or call 410-222-6100 for options.
