Waste Management - Weather Update 1/26/26
Due to current road conditions within many County neighborhoods, curbside collection of trash, recycling and yard waste will not occur on Tuesday, January 27th. In the event that road conditions improve, to allow for safe travel by large collection vehicles and their crew, curbside collection will resume on Wednesday, January 28th, under the following schedule:
- Monday Customers Wednesday Collection
- Tuesday Customers Thursday Collection
- Thursday Customers Friday Collection
- Friday Customers Saturday Collection
Waste Management Services Offices, the Millersville Landfill and Resource Recovery Facility, and the Northern, Central, and Southern Recycling Centers will be closed on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
Vehicle Identification Stickers at County Recycling Centers
Beginning on January 12th, new 2026 Vehicle Identification Stickers for Facilities Customers will be available at our Northern, Central and Southern Recycling Centers. These stickers will replace those issued between 2024-2025. Old stickers must be removed prior to arrival to be eligible to receive a new sticker. Click here for more information.

Ten-Year Solid Waste Management Plan 2024-2033
The Anne Arundel County (County) Solid Waste Management Plan (the Plan) was prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Article, Title 9, Subtitle 5 of the Annotated Code of Maryland and the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) 26.03.03. The Plan covers the ten (10) year comprehensive planning period of January 2024 – December 2033.
