Our Team

Our advisory committee, composed of dedicated individuals from diverse backgrounds and representing many of our partner agencies, brings both nonprofit and government expertise to this initiative. The committee meets monthly to review progress, provide feedback, share resources, and make recommendations to the Center staff and county leadership. The Nonprofit Center is pleased to offer internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students each year. If you or anyone you know are interested in an intern position, please check the postings at aacounty.org/jobs.

Interns have made significant contributions to the development, implementation, and evaluation of Nonprofit Center programs and services since the NPC was first established in 2023. In fact, we wouldn’t be where we are today without them.

Ellie Heffes Non Profit Center's Fall 2026 Intern Eliana (Ellie) Heffes is a current senior at the University of Maryland, College Park. She is double-majoring in Psychology and Public Policy and is currently a part of an accelerated Graduate degree Program, where she is working towards a Master’s of Public Policy degree with a specialization in Environmental Policy. As a lifelong Anne Arundel County resident, Ellie is excited to help serve her own community with the Nonprofit Center.
