For public open days visitors to scenic Mayo Beach Park must now reserve park passes through Mayo Beach Park passes are available to the public at no cost. We have introduced this system as a way to decrease traffic congestion on residential roads, better manage visitor expectations, and reduce the stress on staff from both workload and customer frustration. You may access from a browser on a computer or mobile device to reserve a pass through the YourPassNow reservation system, no app download required. Those without Internet access may call (410)222-7313 for assistance in making a reservation. Once reserved, the pass with QR code is emailed to the customer and can be printed or saved immediately. Mayo Beach Park rangers will scan the electronic or printed passes before visitors enter the park.

Mayo Beach Park open days are free and open to the general public. Visitors on open days can pack a lunch, bring their canoe, kayak, windsurfer or paddle board and enjoy a beautiful afternoon. A shallow beach area is available for water play and wading. Lifeguards are not on site. 
Mayo Beach Park offers limited daily rental of the park for weddings, receptions and family and company picnics.


Open Days

  • Restrooms with running water and toilets are available. 
  • Potable drinking water is available but please bring your own bottle. 
  • Grills are not permitted on site and there are none available at the park.
  • Groups/parties of 20 or more must have a special event request approved by the superintendent
  • No amplified music
  • Please pack food that is already prepared. 
  • Smoking, Alcohol, inflatable rafts, and glass bottles are not permitted on the beach.  
  • Dogs are not allowed on the beach.
  • Visitors are welcome to swim on open days starting Memorial Day Weekend (May 28th). Lifeguards are not on site. Swimming will not be permitted prior to May 28th.

En Espanol:

  • Baños con agua corriendo estan disponibles.
  • Hay agua potable disponible, pero traiga su propia botella.
  • No se permiten parrillas en el sitio y no hay ninguna disponible en el parquet
  • Los grupos/fiestas de 20 o más deben tener una solicitud de evento especial aprobada por el superintendente
  • Sin música amplificada
  • Empaque la comida que ya está preparada.
  • No se permite fumar, alcohol, balsas inflables ni botellas de vidrio en la playa.
  • No se permiten perros en la playa.
