The Office of Planning and Zoning prepares annual progress reports with the status of Anne Arundel County’s implementation of the General Development Plan. Progress reports include summary statistics on the status of Plan2040 goals, policies, and strategies. Reports are available for calendar years 2021-2025. The 2025 progress report is the first to track strategies from approved Region Plans for Regions 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, and 9. Future reports will include strategies from all approved Region Plans.
Annual progress reports follow the framework of chapters in Plan2040:
- Natural Environment
- Built Environment
- Healthy Communities
- Healthy Economy
These reports also highlight other Anne Arundel County functional master plans that support Plan2040. The appendix provides a brief update on all 900+ strategies, along with descriptions and performance measures. Visit the Implementation Hub site to view strategies on an interactive dashboard.
