Anne Arundel County licenses Police-Initiated and Nonconsensual towers only.  

The annual fee for this license is $250 plus $25 for each truck.  Licenses expire on August 31.

For information on how to locate/retrieve your vehicle, file a complaint against a towing company or obtain a copy of the fee schedule, visit the Anne Arundel County Police Department ‘s Community Outreach Towing website.

A Zoning Certificate of Use is required for the business, redemption and storage facility addresses.  

A towing company shall report in writing, within three business days, all changes to the information contained in an application.

All drivers must be approved by the Police Department’s Special Operations Division Towing Coordinator.

All trucks must be inspected prior to the license being issued and during the annually scheduled inspections by the Police Department.
