Transit Development Plan

In cooperation with the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) Maryland Transit Administration (MTA), the Anne Arundel County Office of Transportation presents the draft version of the Transit Development Plan (TDP) for Anne Arundel County, a comprehensive roadmap for the development and enhancement of transit services over the next five years.

The Transit Development Plan (TDP) is a crucial strategic document outlining the short-term goals and objectives for the transit system in Anne Arundel County. It is developed every five years to evaluate current transit services, identify unmet needs, and establish a course of action for improvement. This plan serves as a guide for implementing changes, improvements, and potential expansions to the county's transit services.

In the Plan:

  • Introduction - Purpose and Priorities of the Plan.
  • Existing Conditions - Review of Available Transit Services in the County.
  • Needs Assessment - Identified Community Transit Needs
  • Demographics and Land Use - Analysis of People and Trip Generators
  • Service Plan - Final Recommendations including Budget and Implementation
