To reclaim your pet you must:
1. Have valid ID
2. Be able to provide provide proof of ownership by providing one of the following:
3. Provide proof that your animal has a current rabies vaccination (for dogs, cats and ferrets 4 months of age or older). If your pet did not arrive with a current rabies vaccination you will be charged for one ($20.00) during redemption and it will be administered.
4. Provide proof of license for your pet. If you are an Anne Arundel County resident and your pet was not licensed prior to arrival a license will be issued at the time of redemption and you will be charged accordingly (fees range from $0.00-$125.00, late fees apply if your pet was licensed and the license has lapsed).
5. Comply with all conditions required for the return of the animal (i.e. comply with all conditions in Administrative Orders by Animal Care & Control, comply with modifications to your home/yard to ensure the keeping of your pet will be in compliance with State and County laws) (if applicable)
6. Pay all applicable fees (including redemption/reclaimation fees (see below), late fees (if applicable) and any outstanding fines (unless adjudication has been requested))
Redemption fees are payable by CASH or CREDIT ONLY and includes, but is not limited to:
