When a member of the Jing Ying Institute of Kung Fu & Tai Chi reached out to me with an interest in recognizing several students of the school, as well as owner Shifu Billy, for their immediate and swift response to a fellow student who had a serious cardiac event during class, I was on board immediately!
Shifu Billy, Chris Selley, Alex Selley, and Arden W. each played a critical and essential role in saving the life of Scott Stangle, a fellow student and member of our community.
I had the opportunity to recognize each of these local heroes, along with Scott who has recovered and returned to the classroom he loves so much.
What an incredible story and outcome!
