Project Description
The Department of Recreation and Parks and the Resilience Authority are partnering on a project to revitalize and restore the County’s Jonas and Anne Catharine Green Park. The project will enhance the park’s resiliency to sea level rise and other climate and weather-related impacts through nature-based design, featuring a sustainable shoreline and supporting a mosaic of estuarine habitats, including tidal marsh, upland wetland, beach strand, and submerged aquatic vegetation habitat. Improvements to the park will include enhancing and restoring the existing beach, expanding access for fishing, providing added shade and benches, and improving the walking paths and parking areas.
