Project Description
The design and improvements for Phase 2 of the project include extending the southern breakwaters and placing sand fill at Beverly Beach; repairing and armoring the outfalls for Deep Pond, Beverly Lake, and the Beverly Beach community; adding a breakwater and vegetated dune adjacent to the Deep Pond outfall; repairing a revetment adjacent to Deep Pond; and restoring the trail along Deep Pond.

Project Updates
The Department of Recreation and Parks and Resilience Authority of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County held a Public Meeting on October 1, 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Edgewater Library in Edgewater, MD to review the Phase 2 project design. The presentation from the meeting can be found here. Comments on the project can be provided through October 15, 2026 using this link.
- Phase 1 of the shoreline project was completed in 2020.
- Phase 2 is in design with permitting and construction expected Summer of 2027.
