Submission Timeline
Applications must be submitted to the Traffic Engineering Division (TED) at least three (3) weeks (21 days) before the event.

Advance Resident Notification
- You will be required to provide advance written notice all affected property owners.
- Upon approval, you will be provided with a form letter that you may use to distribute. You may also draft your own letter.

Safety and Emergency Access
- A clear path must be maintained at all times for police, fire, and ambulance vehicles. Fire hydrants must not be blocked.
- Applicants will be responsible for acquiring traffic barricades to clearly indicate the beginning and end location of the event. The County has a limited supply of barricades available to lend on a first-come, first-served basis. Upon approval, more information about the barricade lending process will be provided.

Prohibitions and Alcohol
- Road Types: Block parties are typically prohibited on Arterial and Collector roads.
- Alcohol: Consumption of alcoholic beverages on public roads is prohibited under County Code unless a separate, specific permit is obtained. Information regarding how to obtain a one-day liquor license will be provided upon approval.
- Food Trucks: Food trucks are permitted to be present during the event. A County permit must be available if requested.
- Commercial Activity: No admission fees, sale of goods, or services are permitted.
