On September 25, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers responded for a carjacking in the 1700 block of Poplar Ridge Road.  The initial investigation revealed the victim was parked in his blue 2010 Infiniti with a female when two unknown suspects approached his vehicle and dragged him from his car.  One of the suspects was armed with a firearm and struck the subject in the back of the head and stole his personal property. Both suspects entered the victim’s vehicle and fled the area with the female. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the vehicle or the suspects. Carjacking / Kidnapping Update - Glen Burnie

On April 15, 2023, at approximately 7:00 a.m., officers responded to Crewboats To Go, located at 6211 Old Pennington Avenue in Baltimore for a carjacking complaint that occurred in Anne Arundel County. The adult female victim reported that at approximately 2:30 a.m., she was dropping off a friend in the 300 block of Milton Avenue in Glen Burnie when she was approached by two suspects. The victim reported the female suspect dragged her from the vehicle and threw her in the trunk with assistance from the male suspect. While the victim was in the trunk, the vehicle was driven away from Milton Avenue and came to a stop on Pennington Avenue above Curtis Creek. The victim was pulled from the trunk and thrown over the side of the bridge into Curtis Creek. Both suspects fled in the victim's vehicle, a black 2012 Mercedes 550 sedan. The victim was able to swim to safety and was assisted by bystanders. She was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Northern District Detectives began investigating the incident.

Update - September 26, 2025

Northern District Detectives have continued to investigate this incident the past two years. Through their investigation, they identified both suspects, 35-year-old Crystal Humphries of Halethorpe, Maryland, and 39-year-old David Jiles of Baltimore, Maryland. Arrest warrants were issued charging Humphries with Carjacking, Kidnapping and related charges. Jiles was charged with Attempted First and Second-Degree Murder, Carjacking, Kidnapping and related charges. Detectives have been following several leads in an effort to locate the suspects, but all leads have been exhausted. The Anne Arundel County Police Department is seeking assistance from the public to help locate these suspects. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these suspects is asked to contact 911 or the Northern District Detective Unit at 410-222-6135.
