Strong-Arm Robbery (Citizen) - Severn

On October 4, 2023, at approximately 6:00 a.m., officers responded for a report of a robbery of a citizen that occurred on Pioneer Drive in Severn. The 38-year-old male was walking to a nearby store on Pioneer Drive in Severn, when three to four black male suspects attacked him and struck him in the face and body multiple times. When the victim fell to the ground, the suspects took his cash and fled. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital by fire personnel. No weapons were displayed during this incident. Western District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6155. First-Degree Assault (Stabbing) - Gambrills

On October 3, 2023, at approximately 3:00 p.m., officers responded for a report of a stabbing at Wegmans located at 1413 South Main Chapel Way in Gambrills. The 21-year-old male victim was shopping when a female suspected charged at him wielding a box cutter knife. The victim was able to block the assault. The victim then attempted to restrain the suspect and was stabbed by the suspect in his torso, causing non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was treated at the scene by fire department personnel. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.

Southern District

Commercial Robbery- Annapolis

On October 3, 2023, at approximately 11:30 a.m., officers responded to a robbery at the Sunglass Hut located in the Annapolis Mall. The victim advised that an unknown black male and black female suspect wearing all dark clothing entered the store, assaulted her and stole merchandise. Through investigative means, detectives were able to identify a possible suspect vehicle, a white Mitsubishi SUV, that was used by the suspects. A short while later, detectives received information from the Western District Detective Unit that two individuals fitting the description of the Sunglass Hut suspects were apprehended after crashing the Mitsubishi while fleeing the TJ Maxx, where they had just committed a theft. A search of the Mitsubishi resulted in the recovery of multiple pairs of sunglasses taken from the Sunglass Hut. Both suspects were arrested and charged.
