Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash- Friendship

On October 28, 2026, at approximately 2:10 p.m., Southern District officers responded to a two-vehicle collision at Solomons Island Road at Jewell Road in Friendship. Once on the scene, the Crash Reconstruction Team was requested.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a Mercedes was stopped at the stop sign on the eastbound lane of Jewell Road at Solomons Island Road. A southbound Honda Accord struck the Mercedes on the driver's side as the Mercedes entered the intersection.
Fire Department Paramedics pronounced the operator of the Mercedes dead on scene. The operator and passenger of the Honda were transported by MSP helicopter to an area hospital and are in critical/stable condition.
The Crash Reconstruction Team processed the scene and took responsibility for the ongoing investigation.
