Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash - West River

On October 19, 2025, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Southern District officers responded to the area of Muddy Creek Road and Sudley Road in West River for a single vehicle crash. Witnesses reported that a 2007 Buick Lacrosse was traveling southbound on Muddy Creek Road behind two other vehicles when it left the roadway, struck a tree on the right side of the road, and came to a stop. The Fire Department responded to the scene. The female passenger was flown to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, and the male driver was pronounced dead on scene. The Traffic Safety Crash Team was requested and assumed the investigation. While the Crash Team was on scene, the passenger was pronounced deceased at Shock Trauma. The investigation is ongoing.
