Assault/ Attempted Carjacking - Linthicum

On October 9, 2023, at approximately 11:30 a.m., officers responded for a report of an assault that occurred at Motel 6, located at 5179 Raynor Avenue in Linthicum Heights. Upon arrival, the hotel clerk advised that a white male suspect became aggressive with her because he was upset about his hotel room. The victim advised that she pepper sprayed the suspect because she believed the suspect would attack her. After the suspect was pepper sprayed, the suspect exited the hotel, returned with a handgun, and pointed it at the hotel clerk. The suspect then left the hotel and approached a 26-year-old male victim who was seated in a Ford F150 in the 800 block of Hammonds Ferry Road. The suspect entered the front passenger side of the victim's vehicle, displayed a handgun, and told the victim to get out. The suspect was unable to drive the vehicle and fled on foot. Responding officers observed a Black Kia SUV traveling at a high speed on Raynor Avenue and initiated a traffic stop. The passenger fled on foot when the vehicle stopped. Officers located the passenger and determined he was the suspect involved in the assault at Motel 6 as well as the attempted carjacking. The suspect was arrested and charged.

Robbery (Commercial) - Glen Burnie

On October 9, 2023, at approximately 9:00 p.m., officers responded to the Sunoco Fuel station located at 7930 Crain Highway in Glen Burnie for a report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, the victim advised that an unknown male suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun, and ordered the clerk to hand over money from the cash register. The suspect had the clerk lay on the ground as he fled in an unknown direction. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
