Motor Vehicle Theft / Theft Arrest - Brooklyn Park

On November 5, 2025, at approximately 11:20 a.m., a patrol officer received an alert from a license plate reader regarding a stolen silver 2025 Mazda CX50 in the 4000 block of Ritchie Highway. While canvassing the area, the officer observed the Mazda in the parking lot of the Dollar General located at 5107 Ritchie Highway. As officers approached, the vehicle fled north on Ritchie Highway towards Baltimore. An employee of Dollar General described the driver of the stolen vehicle, who had just stolen numerous items of merchandise from the store before fleeing. Through investigative means, officers identified the suspect and located him in the area of Olmstead Street and Curtis Avenue in Baltimore. As officers attempted to place him in custody, the suspect assaulted an officer and fled into a building in the 4200 block of Morrison Court, where he was taken into custody with the assistance of the Baltimore Police Department. The stolen vehicle was recovered in the 1400 block of Olmstead Street. The suspect was arrested and charged.

Robbery (Commercial) Arrest - Brooklyn Park

On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at approximately 6:50 p.m., officers responded to the 7-Eleven store at 4000 Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park for a report of an armed robbery. It was learned that a male suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded cash from the employee. The employee complied, and the suspect fled on a scooter toward Baltimore. While searching the surrounding area, an individual matching the suspect’s description was located at Seagull Avenue and Round Road in Baltimore. The suspect was positively identified and taken into custody. Officers recovered the handgun used during the incident near where the suspect was apprehended.
