Murder/Suicide - Odenton

On November 1, 2023, at approximately 9:50 a.m., officers from the Western District responded to the 500 block of Retreat Court in Odenton for a suspicious death. Upon arrival, officers located a 34-year-old male victim inside a residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s). Additional information was received regarding the father of the victim who was discovered deceased at Fort George G. Meade Army installation from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Investigation revealed the father was responsible for the homicide of the 34-year-old victim.

The motive remains under investigation. The names of the suspect and victim are not being released at this time as notification to the next of kin is pending. Homicide detectives are investigating and ask anyone with any information to call 410-222-4731 or the TipLine at 410-222-4700.


Eastern District

Robbery (Commercial) - Glen Burnie

On October 31, 2023, at approximately 8:45 p.m., officers responded for a robbery at the Nirvana Smoke & Mart located at 7925 Crain Highway in Glen Burnie. An unknown male suspect entered the business, displayed a handgun, and demanded cash. The employee complied, and the suspect fled on foot. Officers searched the area but did not locate the suspect. Eastern District

Robbery (Commercial) - Pasadena

On October 31, 2023, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers responded for a robbery at the Shell gas station located at 8695 Fort Smallwood Road in Pasadena. An unknown male suspect entered the business, displayed a handgun, and demanded cash from the employee. The clerk complied, and the suspect fled on foot. Officers searched the area but did not locate the suspect.

Suspect: White male, wearing black ski mask and black sweatshirt


Western District

First-Degree Assault/Weapons Violation - Severn

On October 31, 2023, at approximately 6:20 p.m., officers responded for an assault with a handgun in the 8200 block of Dunfield Court in Severn. The victim reported that an adult male neighbor licked her daughter’s ear while she was trick-or-treating at the suspect’s residence. The child ran home, and the suspect followed her and attempted to enter the victim’s residence.  The mother pushed the suspect back to prevent him from entering her house.  The suspect pointed a handgun at the mother and pulled the trigger. The gun did not fire. The suspect went back to his house, where he was located by responding officers and placed under arrest.  A search warrant of the residence was executed and resulted in the seizure of two handguns, one shotgun, a .22 caliber rifle, and ammunition. Southern District

Attempted Robbery (Citizen) - Annapolis

On October 31, 2023, at approximately 9:25 p.m., officers were flagged down by a victim in the 100 block of Jennifer Road in Annapolis. The 18-year-old male victim reported that he was walking toward his vehicle after using an ATM at the Wells Fargo Bank located at 171 Jennifer Road in Annapolis when an unknown male suspect ran toward him, brandishing a handgun. The victim and his companions quickly entered the victim’s car and drove away. The suspect pointed the handgun at the vehicle, shouting for them to stop. The victim continued to drive away, and the suspect fled. Officers searched the area but did not locate the suspect.
