First-Degree Assault (Stabbing) - Laurel

26-713994

On May 7, 2026, at approximately 3:50 a.m., Western District officers responded to the 3300 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road in Laurel for a report of a stabbing. Officers spoke with the adult male victim, who indicated he and two others were parked nearby in the Garden Inn parking lot in the 3400 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road when three unknown masked males approached the victim as he stood outside of his vehicle. A physical altercation ensued, and one suspect stabbed the victim in the torso. The two occupants inside the vehicle attempted to drive away from the scene, and a rock was thrown at the driver’s side window, shattering the glass and striking the driver in the left arm.

The stabbing victim managed to take possession of the knife, and all three suspects fled. Prior to the altercation, it was learned one of the suspects had punctured the front and rear passenger side tires of a parked, unoccupied vehicle belonging to a hotel guest. The victim was transported to an area trauma center in stable condition. Preliminary information indicates this was a targeted incident and not a random act of violence. Western District detectives are investigating the incidents and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-8760.  Individuals wishing to remain anonymous are encouraged to call the Anne Arundel County Police Tip Line at 410-222-4700.
