Shooting (Non-Contact) Arrest Update - Severn

On March 7, 2025, at approximately 6:40 p.m., officers responded for a non-contact shooting that occurred in the 900 block of Reece Road in Severn. A tow truck operator arrived at the scene of a tow request and was approached by the adult female suspect, who requested the tow. The female began berating the tow operator and arguing about his response time. The tow truck driver declined to tow the vehicle and started to drive away when the female fired one round from a handgun, striking his truck. The female fled in a black sedan. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. Detectives assigned to the Western District are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6155. Update (May 21, 2025):
Detectives were able to identify the suspect in this incident through investigative means. On May 21, 2025, a search warrant was executed at the suspect's residence in the 2000 block of Kintore Circle in Severn, resulting in the recovery of several items of evidentiary value, including a handgun. The suspect, 33-year-old Devylle Raquita Campbell, of Severn, was taken into custody at her residence and charged.

CDS/Weapons Violation Arrest - Severn

In May 2025, detectives assigned to the Western District received information regarding possible narcotics distribution at a residence in the 1800 block of Robin Court in Severn. The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at the residence, resulting in the seizure of a .38 caliber Taurus handgun, a Stevens Model 320 12-gauge shotgun, approximately three grams of suspected crack cocaine, and a digital scale with suspected CDS residue. Three suspects who were located at the scene were arrested and charged.
