Robbery (Citizen) - Glen Burnie

On May 17, 2023, at approximately 12:30 p.m., officers responded for a report of a robbery that just occurred in the 7800 block of Bruton Court in Glen Burnie. The victim, a United States Postal Service mail carrier, advised that they were approached by a black male suspect. The suspect produced a handgun and demanded the mailbox key. The victim handed the suspect the key and the suspect fled on foot. Suspect: black male, possibly in his 20s, last seen wearing a face mask, white t-shirt, baggy jeans, armed with a black handgun.

Auto Theft - Glen Burnie

On May 17, 2023, at approximately 3:30 a.m. officers discovered discarded property strewn along Appalachian Drive in Glen Burnie. In their attempts to locate the owner of the property officers learned that the property belonged to a victim in the 1200 block of Leonard Drive. The victim informed officers that their vehicle, a Hyundai sedan, was stolen sometime after midnight and that the property was last seen inside their vehicle. During the course of the investigation officers located the stolen vehicle in the area of Appalachian Drive and White Rocks Drive with two occupants sleeping inside. Both juvenile suspects were taken into custody without incident. Both juvenile suspects were arrested and charged accordingly.

On May 16, 2023, at approximately 4:00 p.m., officers responded for a report of a robbery that just occurred in the 1800 block of Meade Village Circle in Severn. The juvenile victim told officers that he was riding a bicycle in the 1800 block of Meade Village Circle when he was approached by the suspect whom he described as a young black male. The suspect pointed a chrome/silver handgun at the victim and told him to, “hop off the bike.” The suspect took the bike and rode off towards Hollow Court. Weapons Offense - Severn

On May 17, 2023, at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers conducted a lawful traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Bunker Hill Lane and Commodore Drive in Severn. Officers completed a probable cause search of the vehicle and located approximately 152g of suspected marijuana and a loaded semi-automatic handgun and $1,429 in US currency. All occupants of the vehicle were prohibited possessors, all were arrested and charged accordingly.

Citizen Robbery - Laurel

On May 17, 2023, at approximately 4:10 a.m. officers responded for a citizen robbery at the Motel 6 located at 3510 Laurel Fort Meade Road in Laurel. The adult male victim was leaving the motel when a blue car pulled up next to him and the driver asked him if he had any drugs. When the victim said he did not, the driver of the vehicle got out of the vehicle, struck the victim’s head with a firearm, and took his backpack. The suspect fled in the vehicle eastbound on Laurel Fort Meade Road.
