Robbery (Commercial) - Severna Park

On March 11, 2024, at approximately 5:25 p.m., officers responded for a robbery at Five Below, located at 560 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. A male suspect approached the counter with merchandise, told the employee he had a gun, and demanded cash from the register. The employee complied, and the suspect fled. Responding officers located a male who was identified as the robbery suspect. He was found in possession of the stolen money and was arrested and charged.

Robbery (Citizen) - Pasadena

On March 11, 2024, at approximately 6:20 p.m., officers responded for a robbery of a citizen in the unit block of Magothy Beach Road in Pasadena. A 34-year-old male made an e-commerce sale arrangement to sell shoes and agreed to meet the buyer in a parking lot. The victim was approached by a dark-colored Hyundai occupied by three suspects.  One of the suspects got out of the car and tried on the shoes.  When the victim attempted to collect payment, the suspect displayed a gun and got back into the Hyundai, which drove away. Weapons Violation - Odenton

On March 11, 2024, at approximately 8:40 p.m., an officer stopped a silver Toyota on Route 32 near Telegraph Road in Odenton. After investigating, the officer determined that the driver was in possession of a loaded 9mm Glock handgun in the vehicle's passenger compartment. The driver was arrested and charged.

Robbery (Citizen) - Hanover

On March 11, 2024, at approximately 10:15 p.m., officers responded for a robbery of a citizen in the 7000 block of Arundel Mills Circle in Hanover. The 58-year-old female victim was approached by a Hispanic male suspect who grabbed her purse. The victim struggled over the purse with the suspect but ultimately let it go. The suspect fled in a white sedan driven by an unknown male suspect. No weapons were displayed during this incident. Shooting (Non-Contact) Arrest Update - Annapolis Junction

On March 8, 2024, at approximately 6:40 p.m., officers responded to a road rage incident and non-contact shooting on the ramp from Route 32 East onto the Baltimore Washington Parkway South. A female suspect and female victim, who are known to each other, were engaged in a road rage incident in the area of Route 32 and the Baltimore Washington Parkway, stemming from a previous interaction.  The vehicles collided on the ramp from eastbound Route 32 onto southbound Baltimore Washington Parkway. The victim and suspect got out of their vehicles and argued briefly. As the victim was getting back into her car, the suspect fired a handgun, striking the front of the victim’s vehicle, a 2002 Honda Civic. The suspect fled in a white Hyundai. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. Western District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6155 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.

Update (March 12, 2024):

Western District detectives received an arrest warrant on March 8, 2024, for the suspect, Tawana Amari Watkins, 24, of Waldorf.  Watkins was taken into custody by the Charles County Sheriff’s Office on March 11, 2024.
