First-Degree Assault - Glen Burnie

On June 28, 2023, at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers responded for a report of an assault that just occurred in the 400 block of 6th Avenue in Glen Burnie. Investigation revealed that the intoxicated suspect aggressively approached his neighbors in reference to loud music. The suspect, who is known to the victims, swung a knife at the victims, who punched the suspect in self-defense. While swinging the knife at the victims, the suspect cut himself on his arm. Officers provided medical aid to the suspect prior to his being transported to an area hospital for treatment. Charges were filed against the suspect, who will be served upon release from the hospital.

On June 28, 2023, at approximately 11:45 p.m., officers responded for an assault at the Freetown Community Park located at 7811 Freetown Road in Pasadena. The 17-year-old male victim was approached by two males, and one of the males pointed a handgun at him. was armed with a handgun. The suspects fled prior to the officers’ arrival.
