On June 20, 2026, at approximately 4:40 a.m., patrol officers responded to the 1300 block of Charwood Road, Hanover for an unknown disturbance where multiple people had possibly been shot, and a large crowd was dispersing.
Upon arrival, officers located one adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso. The victim was transported by EMS to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Throughout the morning, detectives were notified by three additional area hospitals that there were walk-in victims with gunshot wounds.
One female victim with a gunshot wound to an extremity, two juvenile males with lower extremity injuries, and an adult male and female victim with lower extremity injuries were admitted to area hospitals, all with non life-threatening injuries.
Detectives are conducting interviews with the victims to determine what occurred during this event. This investigation is active and further details will be released once the investigation concludes.
