Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash - Odenton

On June 15, 2026, at approximately 3:25 p.m., officers responded to a crash involving two vehicles on Piney Orchard Parkway near Ransom Drive in Odenton. The preliminary investigation revealed that a Lexus RX350 SUV was traveling southbound on Piney Orchard Parkway when the operator failed to negotiate a curve and entered the northbound travel lane. The Lexus then collided, head-on, with a Hyundai Tucson traveling northbound on Piney Orchard Parkway. The passenger of the Hyundai was pronounced deceased at the scene. The drivers of both vehicles were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. The Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash.
