Homicide Investigation - Odenton

On June 16, 2025 at approximately 10:13 am, officers from Western District responded for a report of a shooting at the Smith Bus Service located in the 1800 block of Bucklina Ave in Odenton. Upon arrival, officers located a female suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency Medical Service personnel responded and pronounced the 45-year-old female victim deceased. During their investigation, detectives were able to obtain and view video surveillance of the incident. The video footage allowed detectives to identify the shooter as Trimall Stephenson, an employee at the bus service and the estranged husband of the victim, Monyette Marie Stephenson. Trimall Stephenson was subsequently located by law enforcement at a rest stop in Hamilton, New Jersey. As Troopers from the New Jersey State Police approached the vehicle, Trimall Stephenson turned a firearm on himself and ended his own life. Next of kin of the victim and suspect have been notified. Anne Arundel County Police Homicide Detectives are working with the New Jersey State Police on the investigation.

Western District

Recovered Stolen Vehicle/Arrest – Laurel

On June 14, 2025, at approximately 10:20 p.m., officers were patrolling the area of Laurel Ft. Meade Road in Laurel, when they received information regarding a confirmed stolen vehicle. Officers located the stolen vehicle in the 3500 block of Laurel Ft. Meade Road. The driver exited the vehicle and was placed under arrest without incident and was charged accordingly.
