First Degree Assault Arrest - Glen Burnie

On June 10, 2026, at approximately 8:10 p.m., officers responded to the 7000 block of Ritchie Highway for an assault. When officers arrived, they observed an individual providing CPR for an unresponsive 59-year-old male. The victim was transported to an area hospital with a life-threatening injury. Witnesses reported the victim pulled into the parking lot in his vehicle, followed by the suspect in a separate vehicle. Both males began arguing. During the altercation, the suspect struck the adult male victim in the head with a tire iron and then fled in his vehicle. Based on vehicle information provided by witnesses, officers were able to locate the suspect with the assistance of the Anne Arundel County Police Real Time Information Center. The suspect was arrested and charged. Detectives assigned to the Northern District will continue to investigate the circumstances leading to the assault.
