Northern District

Homicide (Update) - Brooklyn

On July 1, 2024, at approximately 9:20 p.m., officers responded to the area of Ritchie Highway and 4th Avenue in Brooklyn for what was originally dispatched as an injured/sick subject.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult female victim suffering from apparent stab wound(s) on a sidewalk. The victim, who has not been positively identified yet, was treated on the scene and then transported to Shock Trauma where she later died from her injuries. Preliminary information from witnesses indicates the female victim was in a verbal argument with a male suspect prior to the stabbing. When officers arrived, the male suspect was gone from the scene. The victim and suspect appear to have known each other and the incident appears to be targeted in nature.

This is an active and ongoing investigation. Detectives ask that anyone with information contact them at 410-222-4731. Update (July 8, 2024):

The victim has been identified as 47-year-old Jasmen Gennene Wilkerson, who had no fixed address. This is an active and ongoing investigation. Detectives assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division Homicide Unit are asking for any information regarding this incident. Individuals can contact them at 410-222-4731. Assault-Linthicum

On July 8, 2024, at approximately 1:45 a.m., officers responded to the 6800 block of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard for a stabbing. Two males arranged to meet to fight over an ongoing disagreement.  During the fight, one male withdrew a knife and stabbed the other.  The 27-year-old victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Northern District detectives are investigating to locate the suspect known to the victim.


Eastern District

Shooting (Non-Contact) - Glen Burnie

On July 6, 2024, at approximately 5:00 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of Klagg Court for a report of damage from a fired projectile. The reporting person observed a bullet hole in a door to the apartment and located a projectile lodged in an interior wall. Western District

Shooting (Non-Contact) - Severn

On July 5, 2024, at approximately 9:45 p.m., officers responded to the 1500 block of Provincial Lane in Severn for a report of damage from a fired projectile.  Responding officers discovered a broken window and located a projectile on the floor. Robbery (Commercial) - Crofton

On July 6, 2024, at approximately 9:00 p.m., officers responded for an armed robbery of the Gorilla Fireworks stand located at 1153 Crain Highway North. Three suspects demanded money from a female employee, and one of the suspects pointed a gun at her. The suspects removed a cash register and fled in a dark BMW driven by a fourth suspect. A responding officer located the vehicle, and four occupants were taken into custody. The cash register was recovered. A loaded .40 caliber polymer 80 handgun was recovered from inside the car.

Western District

Robbery (Citizen) - Crofton

On July 7, 2024, at approximately 1:45 a.m., officers responded to the 2100 block of Priest Bridge Drive for a citizen robbery. The 18-year-old male victim advised he was walking to his car when a white sedan pulled up alongside him.  Two suspects armed with handguns got out of the vehicle and stole property from the victim.  The suspects fled in the vehicle. Officers searched the area but could not locate the vehicle or suspects.
