Northern District

Attempt Robbery(Commercial) - Linthicum Heights

On July 3, 2023, at approximately 11:15 p.m., officers responded for a report of an attempted robbery that just occurred at the Shell gas station, 724 Nursery Road in Linthicum Heights. The victim reported that the suspect entered the store and requested cigarettes. Once at the counter, the suspect produced an empty cup and ordered the clerk to put all the money in it. The suspect implied he had a gun and fled when startled by another customer who entered the business. No money was obtained, and the suspect fled, entering a silver-colored Honda, which was occupied by a driver. 1st Degree Assault / CDS Violation - Brooklyn

On July 3, 2023, at approximately 6:00 p.m., officers responded for an assault in the 200 block of Franklin Avenue in Brooklyn. The investigation revealed that the victim owed money to the suspects, a male and a female, who attempted to collect the unpaid debt. During the interaction, the suspects assaulted the victim with an expandable baton and a baseball bat. Officers were able to locate the suspects at a hotel on Belle Grove Road and took them into custody. A search of the hotel room resulted in the seizure of suspected crack cocaine (~7 g), suspected heroin/fentanyl (~29 g), $1,427 U.S. currency, digital scales, and packaging material. A baseball bat and an expandable baton were recovered from the vehicle belonging to the male suspect. Both suspects were arrested and charged.

Shooting (Non-contact) - Glen Burnie

On July 4, 2023, at approximately 9:00 p.m., officers responded for a report of shots being fired in the 7400 block of Furnace Branch Road in Glen Burnie. Investigation revealed that a subject near the playground was firing a handgun. When officers arrived, they found five subjects near the playground. None of the five were found to be in possession of a handgun. As officers continued their investigation, they found several spent shell casings and one unfired round in and around the area of the playground. During a canvas of the immediate area, officers located a parked vehicle with a handgun sitting in plain view. Officers submitted the firearm and found casings for processing. There were no reports of physical or property damage as a result of the shooting. Eastern District

Shooting (Contact) - Glen Burnie

On July 4, 2023, at approximately 6:30 a.m., officers responded for a report of a shooting victim at Baltimore Washington Medical Center, 301 Hospital Drive in Glen Burnie. Investigation revealed that the victim was asleep at her residence in the 300 block of Highland Drive when she was shot. The victim indicated that she had been in a verbal altercation with her live-in boyfriend before falling asleep. The victim awoke to a loud bang and felt pain. The suspect fled the residence, and the victim drove herself to the hospital for treatment. As officers continued their investigation, they made contact with the suspect in the area of Crain Highway and Mayo Road. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.
