Bank Robbery - Glen Burnie

On July 15, 2023, at approximately 11:00 a.m., officers responded for a report of an armed robbery in progress at the Wells Fargo, 6708 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. Investigation revealed that two suspects, which were initially described as one male and possibly one female, entered the bank and robbed at least one teller while brandishing a firearm. It was later discovered that both suspects were male. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of currency both suspects fled the bank on foot. Witnesses indicated that the suspects hopped on a moped and drove off on Ordnance Road towards Pennington Avenue. Baltimore City police officers made contact with both suspects in the 1500 block of Hanover Street. Baltimore City officers were able to take one of the suspects into custody without further incident. The second suspect fled into a residence on Hanover Street and after a brief search was taken into custody. The stolen currency and other items of evidentiary value were recovered. Both suspects were positively identified and were arrested and charged accordingly. There were no reports of physical injuries as a result of the robbery or subsequent apprehensions. CID Robbery detectives are continuing their investigation.
