Robbery (Citizen)/Carjacking (Update) - Glen Burnie

On December 29, 2023, at approximately 10:00 p.m., officers responded to the Wells Fargo ATM located at 5009 Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn for a citizen robbery/carjacking that began at the Wells Fargo at 6708 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. The victim advised he was attempting to use the ATM at the Wells Fargo in Glen Burnie when four black males approached him and displayed a handgun. The suspects then demanded the victim remove money from the ATM, which was inoperable. The suspects then forced the victim to drive to the Wells Fargo ATM in Brooklyn to attempt another withdrawal. This attempt was also unsuccessful, and the suspects fled north on Ritchie Highway in the victim’s vehicle. Northern District Detectives are investigating this incident and ask anyone with information to call 410-222-6135 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.

Update (January 5, 2023):
Northern District Detectives took over the investigation and were able to develop two suspects. On January 4, 2024, detectives were conducting a canvass at frequented locations by the suspects. While conducting a canvass, Detectives located the victim's vehicle, occupied by five subjects, parked in the area of Pontiac Avenue in Baltimore City. Detectives were able to detain all occupants. The two suspects originally identified through the investigation were located in the vehicle and were arrested and charged accordingly. The three additional subjects in the vehicle were interviewed by detectives, positively identified, and eventually released without charges. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a realistic-looking BB gun found in the passenger area of the vehicle.

CDS Violation - Laurel

In September 2023, investigators assigned to the Western District Narcotics Team received information regarding possible narcotics distribution in the county.  The investigation led to the execution of a search warrant on January 4, 2023, at a residence in the 14000 block of Williamson Avenue in Laurel, resulting in the seizure of approximately 314 grams of suspected crack cocaine, $617.00 in U.S. currency, and a digital scale.  One suspect was arrested and charged.

Shooting (Non-Contact) - Gambrills

On January 4, 2024, at approximately 8:30 a.m., officers responded for a damaged property report at a residence in the 3500 block of Patuxent Preserve Lane in Gambrills. The homeowner stated that between December 21, 2023, and January 1, 2024, a window pane located at the rear of the home was damaged by a bullet. A spent projectile was recovered at the scene. Robbery (Commercial) - Laurel

On January 5, 2024, at approximately 3:45 a.m., officers responded to a hold-up alarm at the 7-Eleven located at 3393 Laurel Fort Meade Road in Laurel. Three unknown male suspects entered the store, threatened the employees, and forced them into a back room.  The suspects then broke into an ATM, removed cash, and fled in a white sedan. No weapons were displayed during this incident. Detectives with the CID Robbery Unit are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-4720.
