Robbery (Attempted) - Glen Burnie

On January 23, 2024 at approximately 6:00 p.m., officers responded to an attempted robbery at the Walmart located at 6721 Chesapeake Center Drive in Glen Burnie. The suspects stole items from Walmart and proceeded to exit the store. An employee followed the suspects to their vehicle at which time the male suspect assaulted the employee and attempted to take the employee’s phone. The employee suffered minor, non-life-threatening injuries. The suspects fled the scene in a black Kia with the stolen merchandise in an unknown direction. Northern District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to call 410-222-6135. 1) Black male, approximately 25 to 30 years, old wearing black and gray clothing
2) Black female, approximately 25 to 30 years, old wearing a denim shirt, black jeans and a silver metallic jacket


Western District

Weapons Violation - Crofton

On January 24, 2024, at approximately 11:15 a.m., the School Resource Officer at Crofton High School responded to the school administrator’s office for a report of a recovered handgun. School administration brought a student to the office to investigate a possible incident on a school bus. Upon searching the student’s backpack, administrators located an unloaded handgun and five loose rounds of ammunition. The School Resource Officer took possession of the weapon and bullets. There is no indication the student displayed the weapon at any time before it was located. The student was arrested and charged accordingly.
