On February 10, 2026, at approximately 9:20 p.m., detectives from the Eastern District Strategic Patrol Team conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Ritchie Highway near E. Ordnance Road. Prior to the stop, detectives observed a passenger exit a residence in Pasadena known for drug activity and enter the vehicle.
During the stop, probable cause was established to search the vehicle. As the front seat passenger exited the vehicle, she was observed discarding an object into nearby brush. Detectives recovered a bag containing suspected drugs from the bush, and additional suspected drugs were located and recovered in the vehicle. Detectives seized approximately 16.4 grams of suspected crack cocaine (40 individual snap top containers) along with 4.1 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl (11 gel caps). The driver and passenger were placed under arrest and charged accordingly.
