Fatal Crash - Pasadena

On December 7, 2023, at approximately 12:06 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Fort Smallwood Road at Bar Harbor Road in Pasadena for a single-vehicle crash. The investigation revealed a 2011 Infiniti G37 was traveling eastbound on Fort Smallwood Road when the vehicle left the roadway in the intersection and struck a utility pole on Bar Harbor Road. The passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene by Anne Arundel County Fire Department officials. The driver was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. This crash is under investigation by the Traffic Safety Section.

Update:

The Anne Arundel County Police Department obtained additional information in the fatal crash investigation. As a result, the Independent Investigations Division (IID) of the Maryland Office of the Attorney General was contacted. The Anne Arundel County Police Department will work in conjunction with the IID as the investigation continues. All media inquiries will be directed to the IID.

Robbery (Citizen) - Annapolis

On December 7, 2023, at approximately 9:15 a.m., officers responded for a citizen robbery at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis. Officers met with two adult female victims who stated they parked their vehicles on Hillsmere Drive and entered the park with their children. While walking in the park, a male suspect approached the women from behind. When the victim turned to face the suspect, she saw he was armed with a handgun. The suspect demanded property from the victims, including wallet, cell phones, and car keys. The suspect then left the park and drove off in a white Audi belonging to one of the victims.
