Attempted Robbery (Citizen) - Brooklyn Park

On December 28, 2023, at approximately 11:55 p.m., officers responded for an attempted robbery on West Meadow Road near Alley 4 in Brooklyn Park. The adult male victim was walking in the area when he was struck in the face by an unknown male suspect with a blunt object. The suspect demanded money from the victim. The victim did not comply, and the suspect assaulted him again and fled on foot. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. On December 29, 2023, at approximately 5:30 a.m., officers responded for a robbery in the area of Belle Grove Road and Hoffman Avenue in Brooklyn Park. The investigation revealed that an unknown suspect approached the 41-year-old male victim, displayed a handgun, and demanded the victim’s cell phone, wallet, and keys. The victim complied, and the suspect fled on Hoffman Avenue. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Weapons Offense - Glen Burnie

On December 28, 2023, at approximately 10:50 a.m., detectives were conducting patrols in the area of Hidden Brooke Drive and Secluded Post Circle in Glen Burnie when they observed a male walking in the area wearing all red clothing. Detectives observed the subject displaying characteristics of someone possibly armed with a handgun. Detectives maintained surveillance of the subject for several minutes and were able to observe what they knew to be the grip of a handgun protruding from the subject's waistband. Detectives made contact with the subject and detained him. A search of the subject was completed, and a loaded Smith and Wesson 9mm handgun was located. Throughout their investigation, detectives discovered the subject to be prohibited from possessing firearms. The suspect was transported to Central Booking and charged accordingly.

Robbery (Commercial) – Jessup

On December 28, 2023, at approximately 9:30 a.m., officers responded to The Jessup Post Office at 2851 Jessup Road in Jessup for an armed robbery. The suspect demanded money from the employees and implied he had a firearm in his pocket. Once the money was obtained, the suspect fled on foot. No firearm was displayed during the incident. The investigation was turned over to the US Postal Inspection Service.
Suspect: Black male, mid-thirties, medium build, 6’0”, wearing a black hooded Adidas shirt, dark gray pants, and tan shoes

Home Invasion – Severn

On December 28, 2023, at approximately 6:15 p.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of Reece Road in Severn for a home invasion robbery. The adult female suspect knocked on the door and splashed an unknown substance in the victim’s face, temporarily blinding her. The suspect then assaulted the victim and took her cell phone and a purse containing credit cards and currency.
