On August 1, 2026, at 8:40 p.m., Southern District officers responded to the 100 block of 1st Street in Lothian for a report of shots fired. The preliminary investigation revealed the resident was in their bedroom when they suddenly heard a loud noise and discovered an unknown caliber projectile lying on the floor in the bedroom. Detectives conducted an extensive canvass of neighboring residences, and no injuries or additional property damage were observed or reported. Western District
Robbery (Citizen) - Odenton

On August 1, 2026, at approximately 1:20 a.m., Western District officers responded to the 1600 block of Riedel Road for a report of a citizen robbery that occurred a short time earlier in the 2600 block of Evergreen Road in Odenton. Arriving officers spoke with the male victim who advised he was leaving a residence when he was approached by several masked individuals. The suspects implied they had a firearm and the victim felt a metallic object on his chest. The suspects threw the victim to the ground, took personal items and fled the area.
