On August 26, 2025, at approximately 10:55 p.m., detectives assigned to the Eastern District were alerted by a license plate reader of a vehicle bearing a stolen Virginia registration plate. Detectives were able to locate and stop the vehicle, a gray 2007 BMW, in the 400 block of Sixth Street in Annapolis. The driver and passenger were detained. Further investigation resulted in the seizure of the stolen Virginia registration plate, approximately 62 grams of suspected methamphetamine, two glass smoking devices with suspected CDS residue, four digital scales, and a black foldable IC380 handgun. The driver was found to be prohibited from possessing firearms. Both occupants were arrested and charged.

Weapons Violation - Severn

On August 26, 2025, at approximately 10:10 p.m., officers were called to a residence in the 8300 block of Candlewick Court in Severn for a disturbance involving a male armed with a handgun. Responding officers located the male who was in possession of a 9mm Ruger handgun. Further investigation revealed the male was prohibited from possessing firearms and was arrested and charged. No injuries were reported as a result of the dispute.
