Homicide - Glen Burnie

On August 25, 2023, at approximately 12:50 a.m., officers responded for a shooting in the 7800 block of Bruton Court in Glen Burnie. Upon arrival, officers discovered two adult males inside the building suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. One of the victims was pronounced deceased at the scene by Fire Department personnel. He has been identified as 20-year-old Lamarge Antoine Prettyman Jr. of Baltimore. His remains have been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore. The second victim, a 23-year-old male from Baltimore, was transported to an area hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. The victims were accompanied by a third male who was uninjured.
Homicide detectives responded and determined the three males were in the hallway outside of an apartment when they were shot at by an unknown subject, who immediately fled. On August 24, 2023, at approximately 6:35 a.m., officers responded to the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center for a 27-year-old male who walked in suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim told officers he was in front of an apartment building in the 7800 block of Southhampton Road in Glen Burnie when he heard several gunshots and felt pain in his arm. A family member drove him to the hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injury. Officers responded to the scene and found that several vehicles were damaged by the gunfire. A witness reported hearing several gunshots and a car speeding away at around 5:45 a.m. Northern District detectives are investigating and ask that anyone with information regarding this incident call 410-222-6135 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.
