Weapons / CDS Violation - Brooklyn Park

On August 23, 2023, at approximately 1:40 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop of a gray Toyota on Church Street near Patrick Henry Drive in Brooklyn Park. While speaking with the driver, the officer observed a .38 caliber handgun partially concealed near the steering wheel. Further investigation resulted in the seizure of approximately 10 grams of suspected crack cocaine, eight capsules containing suspected heroin/fentanyl, and a digital scale. The driver, who is prohibited from possessing firearms, was arrested and charged.

Shooting (Non-Contact) - Laurel

On August 22, 2023, at approximately 11:45 p.m., officers responded for shots fired in the 8200 block of Brushyridge Road in Laurel. The investigation revealed that an unknown male suspect fired three rounds through the front door of an apartment. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate any suspects.
