On August 18, 2025, at approximately 7:45 p.m., Northern District officers and K9 responded to the unit block of Brooks Terrace Road in Glen Burnie for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers observed a large crowd gathered and located an adult male victim outside suffering with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Fire Department personnel arrived and transported the victim to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland for treatment. Preliminary investigation revealed that a memorial service was held for the recently deceased owner of the house. During the memorial service, a fight broke out and an unknown suspect shot the victim and then fled on foot. Northern District detectives have assumed responsibility for the investigation.
