Strong-Arm Robbery (Citizen) - Glen Burnie

On August 14, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., officers responded to the 7700 block of Ritchie Highway for a report of a strong-arm robbery of a citizen. The investigation revealed that as the 28-year-old female was retrieving cash from a drive-up ATM, a male stopped his vehicle in front of her, blocking her in. The male got out of his car and approached the victim’s door. The male held the victim’s door closed. An argument ensued, and the suspect reached into the vehicle and grabbed the victim’s cash. The male then fled in his vehicle. The victim provided responding officers with the suspect’s vehicle information, leading to the suspect’s identification. The suspect was located at his residence in Glen Burnie, taken into custody, and charged.

First Degree Assault - Glen Burnie

On August 14, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., officers responded to the 800 block of Crain Highway South in Glen Burnie for an assault involving an edged weapon. The 49-year-old victim reported he was in his vehicle when a male threatened him with a machete during a dispute. The suspect thrust the machete inside the victim’s vehicle, almost striking him. Responding officers located the suspect running on Padfield Avenue. The weapon was not recovered. The male was arrested and charged. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

Shooting (Non-Contact) - Brooklyn Park

On August 14, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers responded to a non-contact shooting in the 5200 block of Patrick Henry Drive in Brooklyn Park. The investigation revealed the 29-year-old female victim got into an argument over a parking matter and then went into her residence. She heard several gunshots soon afterwards and called 911. Responding officers located three shell casings and one live round on the ground. No injuries or damage were reported as a result of this incident.
