Drug Arrest/Weapons Violation - Laurel

On April 28, 2025, at approximately 11:38 p.m., officers responded to the area of Russett Green to canvas for a reported stolen silver Infiniti. An officer observed a vehicle matching the description and driving erratically on Sycamore Ridge Road and attempted to make contact with the driver, who immediately fled from the vehicle on foot. Officers established a perimeter as the Anne Arundel County Police Aviation and K-9 units responded. The suspect was located by the Aviation Unit and taken into custody by patrol officers. A search of the suspect revealed a small amount of ecstasy, and a loaded 9mm Glock handgun was recovered from the vehicle. The vehicle the suspect was operating was determined not to be the stolen Infiniti. The Infiniti was later located unoccupied in a nearby parking garage and impounded.

Theft From Auto (Arrests) - Hanover

On April 29, 2025, at approximately 4:35 a.m., officers responded to Candlewood Suites, located at 1525 Dorsey Road in Hanover, for a reported theft from auto in progress. Officers learned that two suspects had been observed removing copper wire from the victim’s truck. Before the officer's arrival, the suspects fled the scene in a black Saturn. A witness called and reported a suspicious vehicle fitting the description in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn Express on Ridge Road in Hanover. Officers responded to the Holiday Inn Express and arrested two suspects involved in the theft.

Commercial Robbery - Lothian

On April 28, 2025, at approximately 11:40 a.m., officers responded to a reported armed robbery at South County Sportsmen, located at 5643 Southern Maryland Boulevard in Lothian. Upon arrival, officers learned that the suspect entered the business, browsed for some time, then displayed a handgun and demanded that the clerk open a display case to retrieve firearms. While the clerk was gathering the firearms, the suspect fired a round into the display case. The suspect placed multiple firearms into a backpack and fled the store on foot.
Shortly after the incident, an officer observed a suspect walking on Sands Road matching the description. The suspect was apprehended and found to be in possession of a backpack containing five firearms, four of which were stolen from the store, and the handgun used in the robbery. Recovered firearms included a .40 caliber Polymer 80 handgun and four 9mm Glock handguns. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. The suspect, who is prohibited from possessing firearms, was arrested and charged.
