On April 18, 2026, at approximately 9:15 pm, officers responded to the 7700 block of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard for a reported shooting. Upon their arrival, officers and EMS personnel located the victim and rendered life-saving measures until he was transported to an area trauma center, where he was pronounced deceased. The suspect remained on scene and was detained pending the investigation into the incident.
Detectives from the Anne Arundel County Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division Homicide Unit responded to the scene and took over responsibility for the investigation. During their investigation, homicide detectives learned that the victim was at the address earlier in the evening prior to the shooting. On the victim's last visit to the address, he was involved in a physical altercation in the parking lot with the suspect. During that altercation, the suspect produced a firearm and shot the victim. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.
