Information Sought in Fatal Hit and Run Crash (Update- Suspect In Custody)

On October 3, 2026, at approximately 10:25 p.m., Eastern District officers responded to a crash involving a vehicle that struck a pedestrian in the crosswalk on northbound Ritchie Highway at Magothy Bridge Road in Severna Park. Once on the scene, the Crash Reconstruction Team was requested.
The preliminary investigation revealed that an SUV, possibly a Land Rover model L 462, Santorini Black in color, was traveling northbound on Ritchie Highway and struck a pedestrian in the crosswalk. The vehicle continued north on Ritchie Highway, turned into the Magothy Shopping Center, and then returned to northbound Ritchie Highway. The pedestrian was transported to a local trauma center and later died from his injuries.

On October 4, 2026, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Northern District officers responded to the 6300 block of Carolina Avenue in Glen Burnie regarding past suspicious circumstances. The victims advised a bullet hole was discovered with a projectile recovered inside the home. It is suspected the incident occurred earlier that morning.
