Reflecting on Eight Years of the Pittman Administration
Over the past eight years, the Pittman Administration has worked alongside residents, community organizations, businesses, faith communities, neighborhood leaders, and county employees to serve Anne Arundel County.
As this chapter of county government comes to a close, the Office of Community Engagement & Constituent Services wants to make space for the stories behind that work.
We invite you to share a personal story, memory, reflection, or message about County Executive Steuart Pittman or county government over the past eight years.
Maybe you met County Executive Pittman at a community meeting, neighborhood event, town hall, or county program. Maybe an initiative launched during the administration made a difference in your life, your family, your organization, or your community. Perhaps a county employee helped you during a difficult moment, or you simply have a memory from the past eight years that you would like to preserve.
Whatever your connection, we want to hear your story.
There is no one way to participate.
You can:
- Write a brief message, personal story, reflection, or letter.
- Share a photograph and tell us about the moment captured.
- Upload a video sharing your story in your own words.
- Submit artwork, a scanned letter, or another digital item that represents your experience.
- Simply offer a few words of appreciation or reflection.
Your submission can focus specifically on County Executive Pittman or on the broader work of the county under his administration.

Why We Are Collecting These Stories
On October 29, community members will gather for a Tribute to County Executive Steuart Pittman and reflect on his eight years of service to Anne Arundel County.
But one evening cannot hold every story.
Not everyone will have the opportunity to speak during the tribute, attend the event, or personally share their experience with County Executive Pittman. This initiative gives members of our community another way to be heard.
Together, these reflections will help capture not only what happened during the past eight years, but what those experiences meant to the people of Anne Arundel County.
Selected submissions may also be incorporated into materials connected with the October 29 tribute and other efforts documenting the Pittman Administration's years of service.

What Would You Like County Executive Pittman to Remember?
There is no required format and no perfect story.
It can be a sentence or several paragraphs. A photograph from a meaningful day. A short video recorded from your phone. A thank-you. A story about your neighborhood. A moment when county government showed up for you.

A Note About Your Submission
The Office of Community Engagement & Constituent Services will review submissions. Participants can indicate whether their submission may be shared publicly or whether they would prefer it shared privately with County Executive Pittman.
Submitting a story does not guarantee that it will be displayed, published, or included in October 29 tribute materials. Some submissions may be edited for length, formatting, accessibility, or clarity while preserving the contributor's meaning.
